Meet the Member: Michael Moison, Global Marketing Manager at IT Cosmetics

Join us in welcoming one of the newest Young Executive members to the French-American Chamber of Commerce, Michael Moison. Read on to learn more about his role and motivations for becoming a member. 


FACC: You currently serve as a Global Marketing Manager for

IT Cosmetics (a division of L’Oréal). Can you tell us more about your focus and some of the aspirations for the brand in 2019?

MM: As a global marketing manager I work closely with product development and the international teams to concept and then make come to life new products to the market. I currently focus on developing our skincare portfolio which is one of our big priorities for 2019.

FACC: You were born in France and hold Italian and American citizenship. You attended the Lycée Français before earning your B.S. at Georgetown. Do you believe your bi-cultural and bilingual upbringing have given you a unique advantage to succeed in your current global role?

MM: Absolutely, beyond my citizenships it was the opportunity to live in several countries growing up that has given me an appreciation for different cultures and I hope the ability to understand consumer needs better.

FACC: As one of the many men working in the beauty industry, how do you understand and identify with the consumers of IT cosmetics and respond to their needs & wants?

MM: I’m very happy to be in the beauty industry because of its dynamism and how quickly the industry has changed over the years, forcing marketers to be quick on their feet. As a marketer, part of my job is to constantly research trends and innovation within the industry; online, in store or by discussing directly with consumers. That’s how I can understand the needs of consumer and uncover impactful insights on how people consume beauty products.

FACC: As a Young Professional Member, what are you most hoping to gain from your FACC membership?

MM: I’m very much looking forward to meeting other members within and beyond my industry as well as develop my French speaking network in New York.
