The French-American Chamber of Commerce – New York Chapter is pleased to announce that Marc Somnolet, Independent Advisor, Adjunct Professor and former Global Marketing Director at Colgate-Palmolive, was elected President at a Board meeting immediately following the organization’s Annual Member Meeting on May 19, 2021.
Marc succeeds Elsa Berry who is stepping down after 10 successful years as FACC-NY President.  In reference to the transition, Berry said “While I am not a candidate for FACC-NY President, after having served for a decade, I remain fully committed to the FACC-NY and will remain on the Board and Executive Committee, maintain my role as President of the FACC Foundation and continue to Co-chair the Luxury Fashion Beauty Committee.  I have known and respected Marc for many years and wish him all the best as he takes over the exciting FACC-NY President role.”
On his election, Somnolet said “The French-American Chamber of Commerce is about nurturing relationships.  In my own experience, I reconnected with many people and made many new friends since becoming a member.  Members have a myriad of opportunities to learn, connect and grow with the wide array of professionals in the FACC-NY network. I look forward to building on the Chamber’s strengths. Many thanks to the Board of Directors, Committee volunteers and all of the members for their support."
Among the 25 FACC-NY Board of Directors members elected on May 19, six are new members for the 2021-2023 term.  40% of the Board is comprised of women.  It includes small, medium and large companies from a wide variety of sectors.  The FACC-NY congratulates all Board members on their elections and thanks them for their engagement and support.
