Lunch & Learn events bring together an intimate group of industry-specific members to hear from an invited keynote speaker in their field. Participants gather at the FACC office in a convivial environment that promotes learning and exchange.

Having trouble telling your story in English as a second language? Do you hesitate to speak up? Are you often asked to repeat what you just said?

If so, this interactive workshop will equip you with skills to become more effective and confident when speaking English at work, presenting new ideas to your team, and pitching your business at networking events.

Whether you are interested in accent reduction, intonation training or voice work, join us for an interactive presentation with the French-American Chamber of Commerce and Lisa Patti, Founder and CEO of AccentC3 (Communication. Clarity. Culture) at the FACC’s latest Lunch & Learn: Improve Your Public Speaking Skills

Communication & Clarity:

Your voice has presence and has the power to leave a memorable Impression. You can communicate elements such as warmth, trust and leadership through the sound of your voice.

Speaking with clarity allows the audience to understand every valuable word. You can have a great story, or presentation, but if you are disengaged from the words you are saying, you are missing that chance to meet your goals and connect with your listener.

Culture:

Culture and language will affect beliefs around communication and the use of vocal volume, intonation, facial expression, body language, word choice, the ability to speak about one’s own accomplishments, and how direct or indirect someone might communicate.

Come prepared with 2-3 sentences to introduce yourself, practice your elevator pitch and have some fun in the process of learning a new communication habit.
