Today's career paths are rarely linear. Whether you're looking to advance within your organization, transition into a new industry, or launch your own venture, success requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and the confidence to seize new opportunities.

Join us for an interactive Leadership Lab designed for young executives, emerging leaders, and ambitious professionals. Through candid conversations, expert insights, and facilitated breakout sessions, participants will explore three career pathways shaping the future of leadership.

Entrepreneurship: Building a Brand

What does it take to transform a passion into a recognizable brand? In this session, Sabrina Persaud will share the Flutter Butter journey, from identifying a market opportunity and building a brand with purpose to leveraging strategic partnerships to accelerate growth. Participants will gain insight into the realities of entrepreneurship, including establishing a strong brand identity, creating authentic relationships, securing meaningful collaborations, and navigating the challenges of scaling a business. Whether you're considering launching your own venture or looking to apply an entrepreneurial mindset within your current role, this discussion will provide practical lessons on turning ideas into lasting opportunities.

Speaker:

Sabrina Persaud, Founder of Flutter Butter

Sabrina is the founder of Flutter Butter Bakery, a gluten-free gourmet bakery in Brooklyn, New York. Flutter Butter bakery was borne out of Sabrina wanting to eat all of her childhood favorites, but in gluten-free form. Prior to this, she dedicated many years to the Government of Canada as a public servant working in areas like public service renewal, multiculturalism policy, indigenous entrepreneurship, higher education policy, among other areas. Recently, her interests have focused on building a greater intersectional awareness of how career shifts are happening given a person's higher education background. In recent years, she has questioned what it would mean to work in an entirely different sector as a second career, and that has led to building Flutter Butter Bakery—once a hobby baker turned into a full career. Being a Canadian, and opening a business in New York has been incredibly exciting from being able to cater to the Vogue Met Gala Press Room, being offered an acquisition just four months into building the business, and being featured as one of the best cookies in New York in Conde Nast Traveler.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder: Leading with Purpose

What does it take to build a successful corporate career and become a leader others want to follow? Drawing from his own professional journey, Carlos Perez will share practical insights on navigating career progression within a global organization, building strong relationships with mentors and sponsors, increasing your visibility, and developing the leadership skills needed to earn new opportunities. Participants will explore how to cultivate executive presence, lead high-performing teams, influence key stakeholders, and intentionally position themselves for long-term career growth.
