Vendome Partners International was retained by an established Paris-headquartered manufacturer of innovative and connected workspace solutions to hire their New York-based Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations and and implementing their roll-out strategy for the US market.

Our client's award-winning line of products is designed to promote privacy and well-being at work and is currently sold throughout Europe with customers such as Google, LOréal, IBM, Citibank and Nike.

Operations Manager - New York, NY

The position will be based at the brand-new, lower Manhattan showroom and will report directly to the founder and CEO. Upon hiring, there will be a 1-week hands-on training at the companys Paris headquarters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior management to drive the vision of the company in the US market
  • Oversee day-to-day showroom operations
  • Drive and implement marketing strategies (traditional and digital) in order to promote brand awareness and profitable expansion throughout the US market
  • Build and manage the New York-based team
  • Meet and greet corporate customers
  • Design and implement operational processes to ensure company's goals are met or exceeded
  • Ensure project execution by managing different resources at the financial, marketing and operational levels
  • Take initiative to deal with any difficult situations that may arise
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are understood and followed at all times

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must be bilingual French. Spanish proficiency would also be a plus.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of successful experience establishing and driving the growth of a new brand in the US market
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial acumen
  • Strong understanding of the furniture or big-ticket retail industries. Broad and extensive network of contacts in related industries strongly preferred
  • Experience managing a retail showroom is highly desired
  • Hands-on leader with experience managing and developing diverse teams
  • Ability to work and communicate efficiently with well-known B2B clients
  • Eagerness to be part of a dynamic, rapidly growing global business
  • Based in New York City with ability to travel as needed
