Tasting Through France Episode 1: Calvados with BCI
In collaboration with BCI importers, on April 30th we launched our first of a special lunchtime series dedicated to the art of spirits and French savoir-faire.
Guest speaker Pierre Martin Neuhaus, third generation proprietor, spoke about the production, from orchard- including the importance of bee pollination and a surprisingly long four-month long harvest, to cask. The VSOP has been a family recipe since 1971, developed and raised to perfection by Pierre's grandfather before being entrusted to the current generation. Pierre Martin was joined by spirits specialist Francois Morisson who did a live mixing of calvados with a fruity twist and shared his tips for the perfect stay at home cocktail.
