2019 We Love NY Exchange Visitor Boat Cruise
On Tuesday, June 18th, under a capricious New York sky, 300 Exchange Visitors, currently enrolled as interns and trainees, sponsored by the French-American Chamber of Commerce, German-American Chamber of Commerce, Mountbatten and the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce (Belcham) gathered to celebrate international exchange, cross-cultural collaboration and the the reinforcement of ties between the United States and other European nations.
This is the 6th year that the boat cruise, initially spurred as a joint initiative of the French and German-American Chambers, has taken place. Guests boarded the World Yacht's "Hudson's NYC" for a 3-hour cruise featuring magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline, an open beer & wine bar, a DJ and dancing, hors d'oeuvres and dinner.
During the evening, remarks were given by the Honorable Julian Jahnz, Economic Affairs and Press at the German Consulate who spoke of the importance of international friendship and mutual understanding. Following Mr. Jahnz's speech, a longtime advocate of the Exchange Visitor Program, Jennifer Nupp, Policy Analyst at the United States Department of State, addressed attendees. Ms. Nupp reinforced the importance that Exchange Visitor participants share their experience and serve as ambassadors, testifying to the impact this important program has had on their lives and careers.
One lucky raffle winner was greeted by representatives of Airline Pros/ XL Airways, Judith Kolakowski and Katherina Naumenko, who generously contributed one round-trip ticket to Paris. Also in attendance was Marwan Ghrab, Business France Representative in the NY region.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors:
