Organized by the luxury, fashion and beauty committee. Join the upcoming FACC panel discussion with the Kering heritage watch brand who has adopted certain codes of Kering’s fashion Maisons to disrupt the U.S. watch market, while Watches of Switzerland, the Leading UK Luxury Watch Retailer, boldly launches into the U.S. market.

Though the U.S. watch market registered a decline in imports in 2016, according to a recent Mazars publication, the U.S. remains one of the biggest markets worldwide for personal luxury goods and high-end watches. It is the second-largest buyer of watches (by value) with 10.2% of the market after Hong Kong (20.4%). Despite the growth in smartwatches, high-end watches remain very popular in the US, representing 77% of total watch sales.

Join the upcoming FACC panel discussion with the Kering heritage watch brand who has adopted certain codes of Kering’s fashion Maisons to disrupt the U.S. watch market, while Watches of Switzerland, the Leading UK Luxury Watch Retailer, boldly launches into the U.S. market.

The discussion will explore differences in the U.S. and European markets, the impact of digital marketing, e-commerce and social media and how one of the most conservative and traditional industries is evolving. A special welcome will be given by Laurent Claquin, Head of Kering Americas & FACC luxury committee Co-Chair. Elsa Berry, FACC President and luxury committee Co-Chair will moderate the discussion.

Following the panel, guests will enjoy a cocktail networking reception with hors d’oeuvres in the intimate, speakeasy-style bar at the Watches of Switzerland boutique.
