International Trainees and Interns in the U.S.

The French-American Chamber of Commerce (New York Chapter) is a designated U.S. State Department sponsor of the Exchange Visitor Program.  The Exchange Visitor Program was established by the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 as described in the Federal Regulations at 22 CFR Part 62.  The FACC is authorized by the State Department to sponsor eligible Interns and Trainees on a J-1 visa by issuing the Certificate of Eligibility, Form DS-2019. With this document, a foreign candidate with the offer of an internship or training program from an eligible company in the United States may apply for J-1 visa at the American Embassy in Paris. The J-1 visa allows participants in our program to come to the United States for up to 12 months as Interns or for up to 18 months as Trainees for full-time, paid exchange programs at eligible FACC member companies.

Prior to submitting an application, please read the J-1 Visa Requirements and contact us for other program information, rules and criteria not listed here.
