Meet our speakers:

Opening Remarks: AustinT. Fragomen Jr., Chairman, Executive Committee. Over the course of his career in immigration, Austin has served as staff counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on immigration, citizenship and international law and as an adjunct professor of law at New York University School of Law. Austin has testified before the immigration subcommittees of the House and Senate to share his knowledge on a variety of business immigration related topics, including the H-1B and L visa programs and corporate immigration compliance.

Karin Lestelle, Partner. Karin has practiced immigration law with Fragomen for more than 20 years. She provides immigration policy guidance, strategic planning and advice and program support primarily to international corporations, including numerous French companies. Karin represents a broad array of companies in the financial, luxury, consumer packaged goods, insurance, information technology and scientific industries, among others. Karin is active in the French business community, serves on the Board of Directors of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, and is a frequent speaker on immigration law topics.

       

Mary Beth Lambert, Associate Director of International Career Development Programs (ICDP). The ICDP department processes over 1,000 J-1 visa files per year in the intern and trainee categories. Before coming to the FACC, Mary Beth spent 11 years at the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, where she held various positions in the Passport Services Directorate. During her time at DOS, she served several months at the U.S. Embassies in Paris and Beijing processing J-1 visas and interviewing applicants in person.
