European Spring Networking Event

On Tuesday, May 13, 600 people gathered at the Central Park Boathouse for the Eighth Annual European Chambers of Commerce Spring Networking Event.

Attendees included members and guests of the Austrian, Belgian, British, French, German, Irish, Italian, Luxembourg, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swiss Chambers of Commerce.

Michel Franck, President of the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce, greeted guests with several welcoming remarks and introduced Terry Jackson from the Office of Mayor Bloomberg. Reading a special letter from the Mayor, Ms. Jackson emphasized the importance of bilateral European Chambers of Commerce to the New York economy. She also mentioned that the Office of the Mayor looks forward to collaborating with the European Chambers in the future. Beautiful weather allowed participants to gather indoors and outdoors while a live jazz band played in the background.

Wine, beer and cocktails were served and hors d’oeuvres were passed to attendees as they networked with participants from the eleven different Chambers.

The FACC would like to thank HSBC, Coface North America, and Austrian Airlines for generously sponsoring the event.
