On May 22, Corporate and Councillor members of the French-American Chamber of Commerce joined members of the Association des Amis des Grandes Écoles de France at the FIAF for a breakfast discussion with Peter L. Briger, President & Director, Fortress Investment Group.

Offering his thoughts on "From Easy Money to Credit Crisis, Where Are the Opportunities?", Mr. Briger presented a candid assessment of the current credit crisis. He addressed the issues of weak credit underwriting, the significant drop in U.S. residential prices, the price increase of such goods as food and gas, and the overall impact on the consumer who, today, has less real equity and disposable income. Mr. Briger concuded on a positive note, highlighting the opportunities that may emerge from the crisis.
