Wine and Cheese Tasting

On December 6, members and guests of the FACC gathered at the French Embassy Trade Office for an evening of networking that featured a presentation and tasting of Languedoc-Roussillon wines and a sampling of French cheeses.

FACC member Emily Baron, Senior Account Services Manager, Sopexa USA, led participants around Southern France’s lush Languedoc-Roussillon - the largest vineyard in the world. Describing the region, Ms. Baron highlighted the “fresh, exciting and bold wines” that are produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon and explained the various modern techniques used in the vineyards and in the cellars to produce such high-quality wines.

As participants savored Réserve St. Martin Chardonnay, Cuvée Mythique Réserve, le Jaja de Jau / Syrah-Grenach, Les Clos de Paulilles, Muscat de St. Jean de Minervois, and Château d’Aussières, compliments of Sopexa and Pasternak Wine Imports, Ms. Baron also offered a lesson in wine-tasting. Following the informative presentation, guests networked and enjoyed the wines as well as an array of cheeses donated by Lactalis International, including P’tit Basque, Petit Pyrenées, and Le Châtelain Brie.

The FACC thanks Sopexa, Pasternak Wine Imports, and Lactalis International for their generous donations and also thanks the French Embassy Trade Office for hosting the event.
