European Networking Event

On the evening of Thursday, May 18, 2006, attendees from the Swiss, Austrian, Belgian, French, Luxembourg, Italian, German and Spanish Chambers of Commerce made up the sizeable crowd at the American Folk Art Museum for the European Chambers of Commerce yearly Networking Event.

The American Folk Art Museum has a collection over 4,000 pieces spanning three centuries. The museum is also an architectural masterpiece, winning awards from the World Architecture Magazine as "Best North American Building" and "Best Cultural Building in the World".

Guests were treated to a special viewing of the current exhibits: "White on White (with a little gray)", and "Concrete Kingdom: sculptures by Nek Chand". The Museum was an ideal setting for this popular event where an eclectic mix of members from diverse business and ethnic backgrounds could meet new contacts and catch up with old friends.

The delicious hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine were provided by Duvel, Stella Artois, Bodegas Viyuela and the US Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

The French-American Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all those who attended; its co-hosts from the seven European Chambers, the generous sponsors; HSBC, JP Morgan, Coface, Vespa, and The American Folk Art Museum , and also the employees of The Museum, who all played a part in ensuring that the evening was both memorable and enjoyable.
