On Wednesday, May 2nd, the French-American Chamber of Commerce along with the Italy-American Chamber of Commerce were happy to join the presentation of the NCSU + SKEMA Luxury Materclass: Marketing to the Evolving Luxury Consumer.
After admiring the modern art lining the entrance of the Core Club, guests approached the registration table to collect their identification and more information about the immersive bi-national Masters Degree program. Refreshing options of red and white wine were served as participants mingled with past students and interested industry contacts before taking their seats for the presentation.
Welcome and an overview of the Global Luxury and Management (GLAM) Program were given by Kristie McGowan, Director. Opening remarks were given by Federico Tozzi, Executive Director of the Italy-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) and Martin Bischoff, Manging Director of the French-American Chamber of Commerce followed by the masterclass introduction by Alberto Milani, President of the IACC.
Taking the podium for the core of the presentation was Cara Fratto, Independent Marketing Consultant specialized in luxury marketing. While providing the audience with diverse examples of best practices and innovative approaches to connecting with consumers, Cara also cautioned against alienating a brand's core customers by focusing too heavily on recruiting a Millenial audience.
