On Tuesday, March 22nd, FACC Members and guests gathered at Baker & McKenzie LLP for a dynamic Panel Discussion and Networking Event around the topic of "Loi Copé-Zimmermann: A Fast Approaching Deadline".
The law, which was enacted in 2011, requires that certain companies include 40% of women on their Boards of Directors beginning in 2017. Given this fast-approaching deadline, our fifth event on this topic was more relevant than ever.
Serving as Moderator, Karen Brown, Director of Global Diversity & Inclusion at Baker & McKenzie, guided an engaging and informative discussion with expert Panelists Floriane de Saint Pierre, Founder & CEO, Floriane de Saint Pierre & Associés; and Laurence Batlle, Vice President & Executive Board Member at RATP Dev.
With the broader theme of women in business in mind, the Panel covered a variety of pertinent topics, including the benefits of serving on a board of directors, mentoring, progress that has been made and challenges for the future.
