On Thursday evening, February 11th, FACC Members and guests gathered at CBRE in the MetLife Building for a Panel Discussion that explored How Global Technology-Driven Companies Stay on the Edge of Innovation. The Event was produced by the FACC-NY's Tech, Media and Entertainment Task Force.
Serving as Moderator, Daniel Schimmel, Partner, Foley Hoag LLP, guided an engaging and informative discussion with expert Panelists Lanny Cohen, Group Chief Technology Officer, Capgemini; Stephan Clambaneva, Director and Design Business Consultant for the Design Studio, Dassault Systèmes; Philippe Andrès, Vice President Group Marketing North America, Orange; and Patrice Courtaban, Chief Operating Officer, TV5MONDE.
With the broad topic of Innovation in mind, the Panel covered a variety of topics pertinent to their respective industries, from systematically applying Innovation in order to adapt quickly to changing behaviors and technologies, to breaking down silos and fostering a company culture that encourages Innovation. Other subjects included the importance of talent acquisition and retention; the ever faster pace of Innovation; disruption from thousands of start-ups around the world; millennial behaviors; and identifying investment opportunities.
