On Thursday evening, November 12th, FACC Members and guests gathered at the Sofitel New York's Grand Paris Ballroom for a Panel Discussion that explored The Luxury Retail Store: Real Estate, Design and Customer Experience Trends.
Serving as moderator, David Rabinowitz, Director and Co-Chair of the Retail, Restaurant and Consumer Industry Group, Goulston & Storrs, guided an informative discussion with Michael Hirschfeld, Executive Vice President, National Tenant Services, JLL; Lauren Adams, Directory of Strategy & Brand Design, Gensler; Baptiste Martin, U.S. Director, IWD; and Lidwine Rupp, Design & Sales Consultant, Luxury Living USA.
With the broader question, "What is a luxury retail store?" in mind, the Panelists covered a variety of pertinent topics, from the real estate market to the physical design of the store and from merchandising strategies to client interactions.
The Panel also addressed the increasing importance of e-commerce, noting that luxury brands should strive for a symbiotic relationship between online and brick-and-mortar experiences.
Following the Panel, Air France and Delta Air Lines made remarks and raffled a pair of round trip Business class tickets between New York and Paris.
The FACC-NY thanks the Sofitel New York for hosting this event, as well as Air France and Delta Air Lines, 2015 Exclusive Official Airline Partners of the FACC-NY.
